A thirty-something homebody who lives with his mother meets a free-spirited young woman at mass one Sunday and must reconcile his new feelings with his family loyalty.
REVIEW
This student film delves into the complex and interwoven themes of religion, romance, and family obligation, all without losing an ounce of its witty, light-hearted charm. A young man sees a cute girl at church one Sunday, and seems to be instantly smitten. For reasons that aren't directly specified, he still lives with his mother well into adulthood. The mother sends ambivalent signals to the son about whether or not he should pursue this cute new girl--he's single and she's available, but was she wearing a dress to church that was a little too revealing? The son takes the bold step of calling the new girl, and is rewarded with a sweet, slightly awkward date. The film will leave you wondering what kind of obligation the son will be held to, and what kind of choice he will be required to make.
