Film Festival Volunteer Opportunities

Front of House
Auditorium and lobby volunteers set the stage for all screenings and ensure patrons get in and out of theaters efficiently and comfortably. You will be able to answer questions about the Festival, direct patrons to other venues, and be familiar with the venue you are working. You will also make sure we get everything from our patrons, including surveys and response cards.

Box Office
The Box Office is the heart of Festival screenings and special events. You'll interact with all Festival patrons and learn the Festival schedule inside and out. SYRFILMFEST is seeking volunteers to work in the Box Office at the Festival Office, taking ticket orders and offering information to callers. Box Office volunteers are needed to work at the various venues, as well, processing ticket sales.

Merchandise
Volunteers who work at the merchandise table interact with festival goers by selling merchandise and answering general questions. Excellent customer service skills are needed.

Hospitality
Greet filmmakers and special guests as they check into the hotel. You will provide them with their Festival registration packet and answer questions regarding the Festival, local restaurants, and the Syracuse area.

Transportation
Meet filmmakers and industry guests at the airport while driving them to their hotel. Some transportation will be necessary during the Festival getting filmmakers to different venues and events. Must be over 21, with a reliable car.
